Editorial Policy and Sources

atlaspreneur is a media and knowledge platform about entrepreneurship across the Middle East, North Africa and the Arab world, run by Impactedia as one of its media brands. This page explains how we choose stories, where our information comes from, how we handle regulations and figures, and how we correct mistakes.

What we publish

  • Journeys: stories of founders and builders from across the region and the Arab world, based on public records and what they publish about themselves.
  • Organizations: startups, incubators, accelerators, investment funds and support organizations, based on their own reports and official records.
  • Tools: reviews of apps, software and platforms for entrepreneurs and project management.
  • Guides: practical explanations of company formation, marketing, operations, funding, legal requirements and entering new Arab markets.
  • Insights: our reading of data and reports on the region’s entrepreneurship and investment ecosystem.
  • News: funding rounds, events and economic policy, written from the announcement itself.
  • Opportunities: grants, accelerator programs, competitions and open calls, written from the organizer’s official call.

How we source

Every figure, date and factual claim in an article links to where it comes from. We prefer primary sources, in this order:

  1. The company’s or organization’s own documents: official announcements, annual reports, financial statements and program pages.
  2. Institutional sources: government bodies, regulators, central banks and free zone authorities, and reports from international institutions and research bodies, cited by name and publication date.
  3. Public registries and databases, when the organization publishes nothing itself.

We take facts from the organizations involved, not from other media outlets’ coverage. When two credible sources give different figures, we show both and explain the difference rather than picking one. We do not publish statistics, quotes, awards or rankings we cannot trace to a source.

Clarity first

We write our guides in plain language with concrete steps, and include dates, figures and links to official sources so you can check what we say and start acting on it. We cover each country’s details and rules without losing sight of the regional picture. In guides on company formation and licensing, we name the country or free zone concerned and point to the competent official authority.

Arabic and English

We publish in Arabic and English, and write each edition for the context of its readers. Both editions follow the same sourcing, correction and update rules set out on this page.

Tools, affiliate links and sponsored content

Some links in our Tools section are affiliate links, and atlaspreneur may earn a commission when a reader signs up through them. Sponsored or partner content is labeled as such so it can be told apart from our own reporting.

No investment or legal advice

atlaspreneur is not a financial or legal adviser. Our articles give readers the facts they need to understand a company, a funding program or a market. They do not tell anyone where to invest or what to apply for. For a decision about your own business or money, speak to a qualified adviser. Our Disclaimer sets this out in full.

Updates

We review profiles and guides when the facts they rely on change, for example a new funding round, a change of leadership or a new law, and update the article and its sources.

Corrections

If you find an error, tell us through our contact page and include a link to the source that shows the correct information. We check every report. When a correction changes a fact, figure or name, we fix the article and update its date.

Story tips and submissions

You can suggest a founder, an organization, an announcement or an opportunity through the contact page. Please include a link to the original source. We verify it before anything is published. You can read more about who we are on our About page.
