Qatar’s ShipBee Lands $235K to Revolutionize Logistics with AI

Qatar’s ShipBee Lands $235K to Revolutionize Logistics with AI

Imagine managing all your shipping needs through one smart platform. What if logistics could be as seamless as ordering food? That’s the vision behind ShipBee—a bold startup in Qatar that just raised $235,000 to disrupt logistics in the Middle East and beyond.

🚚 Who is ShipBee?

Founded in March 2024 by entrepreneurs Tamer Raafat and Amer Azani, ShipBee is an end-to-end digital logistics marketplace. It integrates AI, SaaS tools, mobile apps, and a shipping marketplace into one smart ecosystem. Backed by the Qatar Development Bank’s mobility incubator and the Digital Incubation Center, ShipBee is built for businesses and consumers looking for fast, intelligent logistics.

💰 Funding Details: The Big Boost

ShipBee secured QAR 855,000 (about $235,000) in a pre-seed funding round led by GrowthX, alongside two angel investors. The founders also added QR150,000 (~$40,000) of their own funds. This early investment pushes the startup’s valuation to QAR 3.57 million (approx. $1 million).

🌍 Vision and Mission

According to co-founder and CEO Tamer Raafat, the funding will fuel:

  • AI-powered tech development
  • Team expansion
  • Product-market fit efforts
  • Regional scaling

The goal? To simplify shipping and logistics using cutting-edge AI and create a smart logistics ecosystem throughout Qatar and the wider MENA region.

📦 Partnerships and Traction

ShipBee isn’t just a concept—it’s already forming strong ties with major players, including:

  • Qatar Post
  • DHL
  • Snoonu
  • NEXX (AI logistics in China)
  • Multiple local retailers and service providers

Their work has already earned them 1st place in the QDB Innovation Hackathon for Mobility and incubation in the Idea Camp 8th Edition.

🧠 Strategic Board Addition

As part of this round, Dr. Allan Villegas, board member at QSTP (Qatar Science and Technology Park), joins ShipBee’s board. His expertise is expected to help guide the startup’s strategic expansion.

🔮 Why It Matters

Qatar is pushing to become a global logistics hub by 2030. ShipBee’s AI-first, digital logistics platform fits perfectly into this national vision, offering scalable solutions that match the region’s fast-paced, tech-forward growth.

🧭 Conclusion: A Smart Road Ahead

With a strong founding team, early funding, and powerful partnerships, ShipBee is gearing up to redefine the logistics industry. Backed by Qatar’s growing innovation ecosystem, this startup is one to watch as it races toward regional—and eventually global—impact.
